About the Venue Barn
- Constructed with Amish cut lumber from eastern Ohio
- 8,300 sq ft total with 4,000 sq ft of outdoor space in covered beer garden
- Over 45 tons of steel I-beam that creates an open feel
- 31′ ceilings
- Retro-lighting throughout, custom-designed chandeliers
- Acid-stained concrete flooring
- Six miles of stained shiplap siding for interior walls (not 1 inch of drywall)
- Exposed electric creates an industrial, modern feel

- Grand stairway made with trees from Corsicana, has miniature I-beam railing

Venue Barn Amenities
Our grand event barn has everything you need for your special event including:
- Full Caterer’s Kitchen with 3 base sink, 8-burner stove top, commercial fridge, commercial dishwasher, stainless steel tables and prep stations, 400-lb capacity ice machine
- Large Bar Area that could comfortably accommodate 2 bartenders with a commercial sink, cooler that holds up to 600 longnecks, margarita machine
- Ample Bathrooms for your guests (more than twice the code for bathrooms)
- Indoor/Outdoor sound system
Crutchfield 13-speaker audio/visual system with projector and screen, mixer and Blu-ray with Bluetooth capability so you won’t have to hire your own DJ – you can just plug in your mobile device playlist, and have music all night. - Round Tables & Chairs, and the ability to setup your event however you want it!
- Private Bridal Suite upstairs with full bathroom and shower,

Just twenty steps from our venue barn, our 4,000 sq foot covered Beer Garden/Pavilion is a dreamy spot for your special event.

Covered Gazebo on the Pond
Down the hill from the venue barn sits a beautiful pond by a forest …there’s a bridge that leads to a pier — the perfect spot for a very romantic small wedding.
We have ONE EVENT per day at RoadRunner Ranch. The whole place is yours from 8 am ’til midnight.
You won’t have to rush or worry about overlapping events like at other venues.

The birth of RoadRunner Ranch.
Starting in the late 1960s, RoadRunner Ranch passed through the hands of a series of eccentric owners (one with a herd of Asian water buffalo), and fell into disrepair. When Jim and Cindy Rooney bought the ranch, it was a ghost ranch. They fell in love with its rustic charm and began a careful restoration.
Jim and Cindy’s passion and mission is to preserve and nurture the authentic western lifestyle and experience, and to share it with our guests at RoadRunner Ranch here in our magnificent corner of North Texas.
Our Location
RoadRunner Ranch is located outside of Ferris, Texas (Ellis County).
Our ranch is surrounded by farmland and cotton fields.
